Hicksville Public Library on Literacy Day

In celebration of Rotary International’s designation of September as Literacy Month, members of the Hicksville-Jericho Rotary Club sponsored a “Story Time” at the Hicksville Public Library on Literacy Day, September 8, 2005.
Youngsters from the community were invited to hear their favorite stories read to them by members of the Hicksville-Jericho Rotary Club. Goody bags were passed out to those attending, “Dora the Explorer” seemed to be the hit of the day. Arrangements for this fun time was arranged by Stephanie Sokenis, Director of Community Service.
